This is by far one of my favorite artist over the last decade and a half . Q-tip just released his past-shelved album Kamaal the Abstract. And since there isn’t an official video out for this record, I thought we could celebrate by watching Mr Abstract and Miss Amanda Diva get down in “ManWomanBoogie” instead. Stay in the spirit folks, and grab some good music to liven up a bad case of the Mondays.

Man what is Canada feeding these MCs? Here is k-os from Toronto, Ontario with another cool video for your blogging pleasure, this one is from his latest album YES! which released earlier this year. And YES, I’m sure my two loyal blog fans are thinking “why is this guy so obsessed with Ontario Hip Hop?” to which I reply, “why aren’t you?”. k-os has made some of the most positive, creative and upbeat Hip Hop in the last 7 years. So I feel its only right he gets a little shine with the rest of the talented, Canadian MCs. Besides, how many chances will I get to blog another Ontario Hip Hop hat-trick? Hopefully many more.
Wow, give it up for Ontario this week! More specifically give it up for Shad K from London, Ontario because this video is a little taste of what this MC is capable of. I am definitely late on discovering this man but I can thank my brother from the same mother for giving me the heads up. Check Shad’s website for free songs from his sophomore album, The Old Prince, and for updates and stories from performing on Warp Tour.
Here is one of my favorite artist right now, K’naan (pronounced kay-non) who hails from Somalia and resides in Toronto, Ontario. This man has an incredible talent for producing fun, innovative music which leaves you ready to start a revolution. Check out his latest album Troubadour and keep on eye on his website for current tour info and more music previews.
Newest video from one of the most soulful cats in Hip Hop right now. Check out their sophomore album, Leave It All Behind, and thank me later.

For anyone not familiar with Mr J. Medeiros then you are in for a great culture shock. Not many MCs can rhyme for social change and keep you jamming at the same time. Check him out at the mrjmedeiros.com or his myspace for more previews and info.
